Recycling Connections is proud to continue to offer our annual “bulk” purchase of backyard compost bins to municipalities, schools, and organizations across the country!
Promote backyard composting to help your community reach its food waste reduction goals or other sustainability strategies and get the best pricing on the BEST backyard composter on the market: the Home Composter™.
Only available to purchase through non-profit/municipal organizations, the Home Composter™ is not sold in stores. It is manufactured in the United States and made out of recycled plastic that is sturdy, yet lightweight for easy transportation. The base price for each bin depends on the total group order. There is a slight increase in pricing due to labor costs from the manufacturer, but pricing is expected to be around $55-$60 per bin, shipping included.

Group Purchase Option
Online Pre-Sale Option
You purchase the bins through our group purchase program to get the best price and organize your own sale however works best for your community.
Things to Consider:

Final orders by January 15th, 2027.

Minimum order of 3 pallets/54 bins for delivery to your location.

Price determined by number of bins purchased by group. (Expected price $55-$60 per bin.)

Loading dock or pallet jack required & must have space to unload and store bins.
Benefits:

Great for communities who have a place to store bins & want to sell them year-round.

Bins delivered directly to your location.

Invoiced directly & you set the purchase price to residents.

No up-front or additional costs; program can pay for itself.
How it Works
You fill out our online form and place your order no later than January 15th, 2027.
Bins are delivered by pre-determined date (starting mid-April)
You establish sales that work for your community and RC provides promotional material and general program support.
You promote a pre-order sale through a online store set up by Recycling Connections that is unique to your community. Bins are delivered directly to you and you establish a pick-up event.

Promote online to your audience by easily sharing online store link.

Must have place to unload bins & hold event.

Bin purchase price is set at $68 for customers.

All money transactions are handled through an online store, provided by Recycling Connections.

How it Works
After you commit to the program, Recycling Connections (RC) will establish your unique online store. You begin promoting your sale as early as February 1st.
Your online store will stay open until all the bins have been estimated for sale have been pre-sold.
RC provides assistance with customer pick-up schedule.
You organize on-site logistics (with support & tips from RC) for your pick-up event.

Participants receive support materials for local sales, including templates for flyers, ads, news releases, as well as tips for having a successful sale. Recycling Connections will also provide a few free webinars that can be shared with your community members and customers and can even host one directly for your community.
