• Where is the Home Composter made?

  • The Home Composter is manufactured in North America.

• What is the Home Composter bin made of?

  • The Home Composter is made of 100% recycled materials (80% post-industrial, 20% post-consumer).

• Does it come with a warranty?

  • All bins sold come with a 10 year warranty through the manufacturer.

 

• When are orders placed and bins delivered?

  • Orders get placed in January of each year with a delivery/arrival date in mid-April (just before Earth day and the start of gardening season)​.

• What do I need in order to participate?

  • Commitment to the program for 2024 is JANUARY 31, 2024. Fill out our online form to get started!

  • An ability to store compost bins or plan for a one-day sale event.

  • A fork-lift or loading dock for delivery at your location.

• Does your program offer rain barrels?

  • We do not offer rain barrels as part of the purchase program.

​

• Does your program offer Kitchen Pails?

  • Yes, we offer a 1-gallon stainless steel kitchen pail. Contact us if you are interested and we can see about shipping it to your community.

• Does your program offer other compost tools?

  • No, but if you would like to sell other compost tools we can help you to determine the best tools to order.

• How much does the program and/or bins cost?

  • There are no additional program costs beyond the cost of the bin. All shipping and other fees are included in the per bin purchase price. The price is determined by how many bins the group collectively purchases. For 2023 our price range was $50-$55.​ We anticipate that the 2024 price will be similar!

• How much does the Home Composter sell for?

  • You can determine the selling price that is best for your community. The bin has been sold for $55-$85 depending on the needs of the organization/community.

• When do I pay?

  • Locations will be individually invoiced upon receipt of the bins. There are no other fees. All transportation/shipping costs are worked into the per bin cost.

• Do you offer a truckload sale?

  • Yes, contact us to learn more about this sales option.

• Can my community set-up an online pre-order sale?

  • Yes, Recycling Connections is able to work with you to establish an online store for pre-order sales. Contact us for more information.​
