Group Compost Bin Purchase Program  (In Wisconsin since 1998)
Recycling Connections coordinates an annual group or ‘bulk’ purchase of Home Composter™ compost bins on behalf of municipalities, organizations or groups that are interested in selling compost bins as a way to promote backyard composting and/or as a fundraiser. Home Composter Bins, Kitchen Katcher Pail, & Bulk Food Bag Sales (since 1998)

To encourage home / backyard composting and waste reduction, Recycling Connections sells a few select items.

Occasionally, we offer community sale opportunities locally. Visit our store online to learn more and shop online.   

 

Marathon County Solid Waste Department (MCSWD) (since March 2010)
The (MCSWD), www.marathoncountysolidwaste.org, contracts with Recycling Connections for the following recycling

and waste reduction services:

  • Staffed Information Line

  • Program Assessment of Municipal Recycling Collection

  • Website Maintenance Assistance

  • Marketing / promotion assistance of Department's services

  • Program & outreach assistance projects (2017) with the Village of Weston

 

Central Wisconsin Recycling Collective  (since 2019)
Working in partnership with MCSWD and Portage County Solid Waste Department, this collective was started to streamline messaging for recycling in Central Wisconsin through a marketing campaign "To Bin or Not To Bin." https://cwrecyclingcollective.com/about

WI Integrated Resource Management Conference (WIRMC) (since 2010)

WIRMC, Wisconsin’s premier solid waste and recycling conference, is presented by Associated Recyclers of Wisconsin (AROW), the Solid Waste Association of North America-WI Badger Chapter (SWANA), and Wisconsin County Solid Waste Management Association (WCSWMA). Together they contract with Recycling Connections for conference coordination and administration. To learn more about the conference go to www.wirmc.org.

 

Associated Recyclers of Wisconsin (AROW) (since July 2003)
AROW contracts with Recycling Connections to provide program and administrative support services. Activities include (but not limited to):​

  • Maintaining websites, membership database and financial records

  • Assisting with membership services and program coordination

  • Providing staff support

Wisconsin Counties Solid Waste Management Association (WCSWMA) (since 2017)

WCSWMA contracts with Recycling Connections to serve as their executive director and to provide project support services.  Learn more at www.wcswma.org.
 

SWANA - WI Badger Chapter (since January 2019)

Recycling Connections serves as the Administrative Assistant for the WI Badger Chapter of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA).  Learn more at www.swana-wi.org.   


University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point (since 2012)
Recycling Connections serves as a community resource and industry contact for the College of Natural Resources at UW-SP, especially related to the Waste Management section.Activities have included: 

  • Community Mentor for WSTE 485 student class "cap stone" projects

  • Adjunct faculty and/or Guest speaker for College of Natural Resources’ classes
