DESCRIPTION: This firsthand experience allows you to follow the path of trash and recyclables in Portage County. Participants will tour Cranberry Creek Landfill in Wisconsin Rapids, Portage County Solid Waste Materials Recovery Facility & Transfer Station, and end with a “tap talk” at O'so Brewing Co. Ticket price includes transportation from and returning to O'so Taproom, expert guides in waste management, and one beer ticket for every attendee (must be 21 or over). Proceeds from this event go to Recycling Connections, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting waste reduction, recycling, compost, and resource conservation. This event is offered in partnership with the Stevens Point Area YMCA.
