Marathon County Solid Waste Department and the Village of Weston are proud to offer a convenient pre-purchase / pick-up compost bin sale. The sale features a highly-rated compost bin, The Home Composter. Recommended by expert composters, the Home Composter is easy to assemble, long-lasting, made from 100% recycled materials, and is NOT available in stores. Each purchase comes with a Backyard Composting book. Also available for purchase is a stainless steel Kitchen Katcher for collecting food scraps in your kitchen.

• When do I pick up my order? Purchases must be picked up on Saturday, May 11, 2024, between 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM, at the Village of Weston Municipal Center, 4747 Camp Phillips Rd, Weston, WI  54476 or in Wausau at the Oak Island Park, 500 River Drive, Wausau (Parking lot by the tennis courts.)

• How do I pick up my order? To space pick-ups and manage the pick-up flow, we will be using SignUp.com to schedule curbside pick-up appointments. Customers will be sent a link to schedule their pick-up time on May 11, between 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. At that time, customers will select the location of pick-up. .

• Where do I pick up my order? Customers will have two options for pick-up: Village of Weston Municipal Center at their new location at 4747 Camp Phillips Rd, Weston, WI  54476 or in Wausau at Oak Island Park, 500 River Drive (Parking lot by the tennis courts). Any order NOT picked up on May 20th between 10am-noon will be held at the Marathon County Solid Waste Department in Ringle, WI and must be picked up from that location.

• I do not want to pre-purchase, how can I get a bin or pail? Compost bins and pails are available for purchase year-round at the Marathon County Solid Waste Department Office, the same location as our landfill.
