Recycling Connections and Process Store (Stevens Point) are partnering to offer community members a low waste lifestyle challenge that runs from September to October.

How it works:

• Register by September 1st, 2022

• Attend two required meetings: week 1 (9/7) and week 8 (10/26)

• Six optional meeting discussions offered. These include topics related to low waste options in the kitchen, bath, & bedroom, and planning your low waste holiday.

• The Challenge fee includes a gift "starter kit" from Process Store and weekly presentations from low waste leaders in our community.

• Walk away with the confidence and knowledge for living a more low waste lifestyle.

9/7 - Week 1 – Introductions & Overview -- Meet those taking the Challenge

9/14 - Week 2 – Low Waste Kitchen and Grocery Shopping Ideas -- Set your personal 6-week goal

9/21 - Week 3 – Low Waste Bathroom, Toiletries, and Wellness - Meet at Process Store to get your starter kit

9/28 - Week 4 – Low Waste Ideas for the Bedroom and Wardrobe 

10/5 - Week 5 – Transportation Efficiency   

10/12 - Week 6 – Low Waste Workspace and Junk Mail Reduction / Home  & Yard Maintenance

10/19 - Week 7 – Kids and Schools  /  Holidays and Gift Ideas 

10/26 - Week 8 – Share out and Celebrate – Required Session

Participants are required to attend the first and last session. They will be asked to set a goal and try some low waste living ideas. After 8 weeks, we will share what was learned and participants will be encourage to "pay it forward" by sharing ideas with others.

Cost -- $60/household 

The cost covers a customized “starter kit” from Process Store and coordination fees to Recycling Connections.
