  • Contacting groups/organizations/municipalities in the Midwest states listed below, about participating in the bin purchase. NOTE: The larger the group order is, the lower price-per-bin we all can receive!

  • Coordinating purchase of the bins through the manufacturer, on behalf of all the interested groups.  The purchase date is usually in early January each year, in preparation for a spring delivery of compost bins.

  • Assuring a timely delivery and individual invoicing by the manufacturer for each location.

  • We now serve: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio and Wisconsin

Home Composter Bins & Kitchen Katcher Pail Sales        (since 1998)

To encourage home / backyard composting, RCC sells the Home Composter™ compost bins from our offices in Stevens Point

and Viroqua, and at various local events we attend.  We also sell a Kitchen Katcher stainless steel pail that works great to collect

food scraps for composting in your bin outside.

Reusable, Organic Cotton Bulk-Goods Bag Sales        (since September 2016)

In an effort to reduce the amount of plastic entering the waste stream, we now sell reusable bulk-goods bags

from our office.  These bags are made from organic cotton, have a simple design on them, and are great

for all types of food purchasing/transportation: fresh foods like vegetables; bulk foods like rice; from a store

or from the farmers market; and you can take them with you anywhere.  They are lightweight and take up

little space.  Stop by the office to check them out or feel free to call ahead to make sure we're there!

Marathon County Solid Waste Department (MCSWD)   (since March 2010)
The (MCSWD),, contracts with Recycling Connections for the following recycling

WI Integrated Resource Management Conference (WIRMC)     (since 2010)

WIRMC, Wisconsin’s premier solid waste and recycling conference, is presented by Associated
Recyclers of Wisconsin (AROW), the Solid Waste Association of North America-WI Badger Chapter
(SWANA), and Wisconsin County Solid Waste Management Association (WCSWMA). Together they
ontract with Recycling Connections for conference coordination and administration.

Associated Recyclers of Wisconsin (AROW) (July 2003 - May 2019)
AROW contracts with Recycling Connections to provide program and administrative
support services.  Activities include (but not limited to):

  • Providing Program Director and Executive Director staff

  • Maintaining websites, membership database and financial records

  • Providing membership services and program coordination

Wisconsin Counties Solid Waste Management Association (WCSWMA)    (since 2017)

Recycling Connections serves as the Administrative Assistant for the WI Badger Chapter of the
Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA)

Central Rivers Farmshed     (since 2011)
Recycling Connections supports and/or works in partnership with the Central Rivers Farmshed which 
serves the central Wisconsin area.  Our support is in the form of cooperative assistance as a fellow
“community and environmentally-minded” nonprofit organization.  In 2012 we provided financial support
to purchase one of the many large poly-carbonate panels needed to renovate an old greenhouse as
part of their programming.


University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point      (since 2012)
Recycling Connections serves as a community resource and industry contact for the
College of Natural Resources at UW-SP, especially related to the Waste Management section.  
Activities include: 


  • Community Mentor for WSTE 485 student class "cap stone" projects

  • Adjunct faculty and/or Guest speaker for College of Natural Resources’ classes


Group Compost Bin Purchase Program     (In Wisconsin since 1998)
Recycling Connections coordinates an annual group or ‘bulk’ purchase of Home Composter™ compost bins on behalf of municipalities, organizations or groups that are interested in selling compost bins as a way to promote backyard composting and/or as a fundraiser.  For a nominal fee we provides the following:
